Name: Kailesh
Position: Internal Systems Engineer

I joined in 2004 as a Technical Support Advisor and following an assessment in 2005, I was promoted to the role of Internal Systems Engineer where I am responsible for supporting and developing the internal technical infrastructure. My early career aspirations were always focused towards engineering having successfully completed an honours degree in Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University. The degree course included an invaluable industrial placement which further developed my interest in and naturally led to a career path into IT.
Having gained experience working for a couple of ISPs prior to joining Fasthosts I thought I knew what 'fast-paced' meant. But the term has now taken a whole new deeper meaning here. It is amazing to be part of a dynamic customer-focused environment, where there is unique atmosphere, high work ethic and vibrant enthusiasm from all members.
Admittedly Gloucester was not on my list of cities that I had in mind when searching for progression within the IT industry but the prospects of working with Fasthosts quickly changed that. Looking back, it was remarkable how rapidly I settled into 'Fasthosts-life' and have been lucky to have made some great friends in the process.
I try to live as active a lifestyle as possible, which includes taking part in a range of activities and sports but to be honest I seem to watch a lot more sports from the comforts of my sofa than actually playing! I'm also a keen member of my local community and enjoy participating, and organising cultural events with friends & family.
