Customers and resellers of Fasthosts register thousands of domain names with us every single day. Occasionally, people who registered a domain through one of our resellers find themselves unable to contact them. If you would like to regain control of a domain, registered with Fasthosts through a
third-party, you've come to the right page.
Before starting our domain release process, please ensure you have tried every means of communication with the third-party in question. If you are still unable to contact them, follow the step by step guide below.
Please note: you will be charged a non-refundable administration fee of £20 +VAT for each domain release request.

Please ensure you have a full backup of your website & email, before returning your completed domain name release request to us.
Important - before you send the form to us:
Ensure that you have completed all required information on the domain release form
including details of your Fasthosts account - remember to include your proof of purchase.
We cannot start the release process until all necessary details have been received.
Once we have received your completed form and accompanying letter, we will contact the third-party (our customer) on your behalf. If they are able to release the domain name we will transfer it into your new Fasthosts account. The process may take up to 5 working days as we need to leave our customer reasonable time to respond.
Domain name ownership disputes
The third-party may dispute your claim to the domain name. If this happens, a member of our domains team will provide you with a link to the relevant domain name authority's dispute policy for you to follow. Domain name disputes must be settled between you, the third-party and the domain name authority; Fasthosts will have no further involvement.
