Can I use an Exchange mailbox with my Linux PC?
There are four ways to access your Exchange mailbox using Linux, OpenSolaris, BSD or other operating systems that don't have a Microsoft-provided email client.
Gnome Evolution
The Evolution mail client offers similar functionality to Microsoft Outlook and is built into the Gnome desktop.
If you're running Ubuntu, Fedora or OpenSolaris, it's likely that you're running Gnome and have Evolution.
Evolution supports Exchange mailboxes directly.
Note: Evolution offers access to most Exchange mailbox functionality but not all.
Outlook Web Access
Outlook Web Access is advanced web mail for Exchange mailboxes.
IMAP in Thunderbird, Evolution, Mutt and others
You can access your Exchange mailbox like a normal IMAP or POP3 mailbox using almost any email software.
