Accessing Exchange mailboxes using Outlook Mobile Access (OMA)
This article describes how to access your Exchange mailbox using Outlook Mobile Access, from your WAP mobile phone or PDA.

To access Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) you must first have an internet connection from your mobile device. This is typically achieved by creating a GPRS or WAP connection.
To do this, please refer to your mobile service provider.
Accessing your Exchange Mailbox
The following screenshots will vary, depending on your mobile device.
- Connect to the internet with your mobile device.
- Once you have a connection from your mobile device, use your mobile browser to go to : http:/exchange.mydomain.com/oma. If your DNS does not support this URL, you should use /http://exchange.livemail.co.uk/oma.
- You will be prompted for a username and password for your Exchange mailbox.
- Type in your email address as your username and the password for your Exchange mailbox, as seen in Fig. A, below.

- You will now see a simple web interface to your mailbox with a list of folders, as in Fig. B. Click on any folder to view the contents.

- To create a new contact, click Contacts. Then click New and Contact. You will now see the screen as in Fig. C.

- Click on each of the contact details to enter the information. Once you have entered all the required details, click Save.
The new contact will then appear at the top of the next screen, as in Fig. D.

- To send an email to this new contact, now click the contact name, as seen in Fig. D. The contact details will appear.
- Now click the email address. You will now see the screen, as in Fig. E, below.

- Click on Message and type your message into the box, as seen in Fig. F, below. Then click OK.

- On the next screen, click Send. The message will be sent and you will be returned to the list of contacts.
- To check your email, click Inbox. The contents will be displayed, as seen in Fig. G.

- Click on the sender name to view the message. The message will be displayed, as seen in Fig. H, below.
Options to
Reply, Forward, Delete etc, are displayed below the message.

- Click Home, Compose New, Appointment to create a new appointment, as seen in Fig. I.

- Click on each item to type in the required appointment details.
- Type in the subject, as seen in Fig. J, below.

- Choose a date from the calendar, as seen in Fig. K.

- Choose and appointment time, as seen in Fig. L.

- Now specify the email address of the attendees.

- Once all the details have been completed, click Send, as seen in Fig. N.

- Now click Calendar and Next Day to browse to the date of the appointment, as seen in Fig. O.
