Exchange mailboxes with Entourage X

Note: Entourage X does not support full Exchange mailbox functionality. You should use Outlook Web Access or upgrade to Entourage 2004 to use calendars and shared contacts.

Configure Exchange mailbox using IMAP and SMTP

To send and receive email using an Exchange mailbox with Entourage X, you need to use IMAP to receive email and SMTP to send it.

Step 1: Open Entourage X.

Step 2: In the Tools menu, click Accounts.

Step 3: Click the Mail tab, and then click New.

Step 4: The Account Setup Assistant will open. Click the Configure account manually button.

Step 5: Enter a name for your account in the Account Name text-box.

Step 6: Enter your name in the Name text-box. Most people that you email will see this name, rather than your email address.

Step 7: Enter your complete email address in the E-mail Address text-box.

Step 8: Enter your complete email address in the Account ID text-box.

Step 9: Type exchange.livemail.co.uk in the IMAP Server text-box.

Step 10: Enter your Exchange mailbox password in the Password text-box.

Step 11: Type smtp.fasthosts.co.uk in the SMTP Server text-box.

Step 12: Click Click here for advanced sending options.

Step 13: Select the SMTP server requires authentication check-box.

Step 14: Click OK to save your new account.
