Sent mail does not appear in Web mail
If you send an email from the Webmail facility, it stores a copy of the sent message in the Sent items folder. However, if you also access the email using an email application, such as Outlook or Thunderbird, you may find some mail in the sent items folder is unavailable.
There are two ways in which you can connect to your mailbox from your local computer. These are POP and IMAP.
- POP: The POP protocol does not have the ability to save sent emails on the mail server.
- IMAP: The IMAP protocol will allow you to synchronise your email folders in Webmail with your local computer.
Both protocols have advantages and disadvantages, which will depend on how you use your mailbox.
