ADSL - BT Voyager 240 router installation guide
Your BT Voyager 240 router (seen in Fig. A, below) is a 4-port router which will enable you to set up a small home or office network of up to four computers, each with access to the internet via your broadband service.

Included in the router pack are the following items:
- router base unit
- ADSL microfilter
- telephone cable
- network cables (x2)
- Power supply
- Unplug the cable of your telephone from the wall unit and plug it into the phone socket of the microfilter.
- Now insert the telephone plug of the microfilter into the wall unit.
- Plug one end of the telephone cable from the router pack into the DSL socket of the microfilter and the other end into the DSL socket of the router base unit.
- Plug the router power supply into a mains electricity socket and DC output into the Power socket at the back of the router.
- Plug one of the network cables into your computer and the other end of the network cable into one of the four ports at the back of the router. Up to four computers can be connected to the router in the same way.
Your router should now be wired as seen in Fig. B, below.

- Now power-up the router by pressing the switch next to the Power socket. The lights on the front of the router will light up momentarily, then leaving just the Power light on.
- Open your internet browser and type in the address voyager.home or 192.168.1.1.
This will invoke the BT Voyager 240 Configuration Manager, as seen in Fig. C, below.

- Click Quick Setup to login to the configuration manager. Use admin as both the username and password.
The various configuration options for your router (and local area network) can be seen on the left-hand navigation menu, in Fig. D.
