The Role

Our Technical SEO Specialist works as part of a collaborative, friendly and professional multi disciplined Marketing team and takes responsibility for the over search engine optimisation strategy and implementation. This includes keyword research, link-building, content and technical SEO to confidently represent the UK business and report to all levels of the organisation.

We are looking for someone with strong technical SEO skills and a data driven approach to ensure successful campaigns. You will understand when to use a robots.txt file over a noindex directive, and know the value of a properly configured XML sitemap, as well as being able to identify issues with how Google crawls a site and how to fix problems when they arise.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the company blog
  • Manage external agencies such as content and SEO agencies
  • Use analytics tools to gather relevant insights and optimise activity
  • carrying out keyword research, and tracking rankings over time and identify and optimise the right content for those keywords

What experience do I need?

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to apply existing skills or to expand their expertise, be you an SEO Specialist/Consultant/Executive looking to make the next step, or an SEO Manager looking to for an individual contributor role.


  • Min 2 years recent experience as a Technical SEO specialist or similar
  • Demonstrable knowledge of marketing fundamentals and a track record of successful marketing initiatives
  • Understanding of online marketing with experience in selling products through multiple channels
  • In-depth knowledge of organic digital channels as both strategist and practitioner i.e. social media, SEO, content marketing, digital content etc.
  • Familiarity with a range of SEO tools, such as Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
  • In depth knowledge of Google’s core web vitals is essential
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous experience of data analysis with a strong attention to detail - demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret results to convey them to senior stakeholders both internally


  • Regularly achieving large scale customer growth (Thousands of customers) in a subscription based/ recurring revenue based business
  • Experience of working agency-side or of managing external agencies
  • Several years of experience successfully cross and upselling to a large scale customer base in an online business
  • Experience within a technical industry
