Young Gloucestershire
Despite the youthful name, Young Gloucestershire is anything but. Founded as Gloucestershire Youth Association in 1941, the charity has spent the better part of a century supporting local youth with access to physical and mental health resources. After going through a significant merger in 1998, it entered the 21st century officially as Young Gloucestershire.
Now, Young Gloucestershire’s 100-strong team works across all six districts of the county, providing mental health, skills and education, and family support to the young people who need it most. Last year, it launched the Arcus Project to provide holistic wellbeing and developmental support for gender-diverse youth. Alongside this, it recently announced the launch of its youth worker apprenticeship programme, supporting the training of young workers across the country.
And Young Gloucestershire is recognised for its work. Last year, it was honoured with the Partnership Award at the NHS Gloucestershire Hospitals Staff Awards for its collaboration with the paediatric team – helping to make their mental health services more accessible.

CyNam
Founded in 2015, CyNam is proud to be a hub for all things cybersecurity across Cheltenham and Gloucester. Its small but mighty team caters to over 7,000 members from 1,500+ organisations, offering mentoring opportunities, skills gap development, and access to a vibrant network of investors.
But CyNam’s best work happens in front of a live audience. In 2016, it set up its first headline event, bringing together some of the brightest minds in cyber – and since then, the ball has only kept rolling. Now, it hosts 15 in-person events a year – including Gloucestershire Tech Week, which CyNam launched for the first time in 2025, as well as its one-of-a-kind tech bootcamp to nurture entrepreneurial talent in the area.
It’s no wonder that CyNam has received significant grant funding from DSIT via Barclays Eagle Labs and Cyber Local to supercharge strategic objectives around ecosystem development, innovation, and investment and skills growth.

The Music Works
For The Music Works, music isn’t just a fun pastime – it’s a tool to help young people reach their full potential. Established in 2004, the charity currently works with around 4,500 young people aged 8-30 each year through community programmes, reaching a further 3,500 through events. Its work spans creative health, youth justice, education, careers, and inclusion, with its dedicated team of 30 staff delivering a wide range of open access programmes, mentoring, after-school clubs, and holiday clubs.
Since 2021, The Music Works has been a permanent fixture in Gloucestershire – opening its flagship hub in King’s Square, followed by the launch of the Music Bus in 2022 and Forest Hub in 2024. It has also picked up plenty of accolades in that time, including two NCLB Awards for #ConfidentGirls and #InnovativeEducation, a regional Health Equalities Award from the NHS Parliamentary Awards and, most recently, the Collective Power Award for Culture, Health & Wellbeing.
And there’s plenty more on the horizon. In November 2025, The Music Works will be bringing its two-day Creative Futures conference back to Gloucestershire. Plus, it’s currently expanding its Mix & Mash programme, now offering Short Breaks for home-educated young people and at weekends.

Kristaleyz
There’s a lot we have in common with Kristaleyz. It’s Gloucestershire-based, it provides website management, marketing and design services, and… it’s a Fasthosts partner.
Founded in 2022, Kristaleyz is a one-woman band run by namesake Kristal Jones. She does her best work with small to medium-sized businesses, as well as local community interest companies at a discounted rate. And while she values what being a Gloucestershire business can offer, she doesn’t limit her client pool to this county – or even this country. In fact, one of her most loyal clients is in the US and has worked with her since she started the business.
So where does Fasthosts factor into all of this? Kristal makes use of our domains, Exchange email, website builder, and web and email hosting services – all tied together with the support of the Partner Manager, Matthew Harvey.
"I’ve been with Fasthosts since I started my business, and I use them for all my clients’ domain and email services. Their support is amazing – if I ever run into a problem, I just hop on live chat and someone’s there to help within minutes. It’s so handy when I just need a quick bit of guidance or reassurance. I always like to support local businesses too, so this is an added bonus."

Activ-STEP
Mark Carver has been in the website game almost as long as us. Launching as a solopreneur back in 2004, he’s spent the past two decades delivering marketing projects – ranging from consultancy and campaigns to websites and SEO – and building a small team in Stroud.
But after a two-year sailing sabbatical that ended in 2017, Mark came back to his day-to-day with a renewed focus on delivering applications that leverage web-based technology – particularly for small to medium-sized UK businesses working in the manufacturing sector.
Now, Activ-STEP is proud to boast a highly secure cyber infrastructure. A recent penetration test by ethical hackers failed to find any critical or urgent issues within its system, so it’s no surprise that their customers use Activ-STEP’s software to get UKCA- and ISO-accredited.
And with such high standards for cybersecurity, it was only right that Activ-STEP chose an independent service provider that reflected this. Enter Fasthosts. Activ-STEP now runs all of its applications using our platform – and the fact that we’re also based in Gloucestershire is the cherry on top.

Thinking local, supporting global
Just because we view things from a local perspective doesn’t mean we aren’t thinking big. That’s something that these 5 organisations all prove in their own way – whether they’re reaching clients across the pond or improving the lives of young people at home. We’re proud to be even a small pit stop on their journey to success.
