And just like that, November is over. How do we know? Christmas ads are everywhere, and we mean everywhere. It’s become a hot debate over the years about who has the best festive ads, and from supermarkets to clothing stores, we’ve been really treated this season.
So we’ve decided to break down 8 of our favourite Christmas ads, highlighting just a selection of the amazing marketing campaigns from 2025.

It’s Pixel, actually – Google Pixel
Google Pixel knows just how to make us fall in love, actually. It’s one of the nation’s favourite Christmas movies, and this year we get to see actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster (aka that cute kid from that one Christmas film), as well as a few other fun cameos and sneaky references. So if you love a classic Christmas throwback, this is the ad for you!
Why we love it
It’s nostalgic, fun and shows off the product in an organic way that fits with the narrative of the ad. Plus, who doesn’t love a catchy 80s pop hit?

The Perfect Gift – Waitrose
And the Christmas crackers keep coming! Another Love Actually alum makes an appearance, this time in ‘The Perfect Gift’ from Waitrose, with Kiera Knightley starring alongside comic genius Joe Wilkinson. This one makes our list because of its funny, charming and ends with an unexpected twist.
Why we love it
Aside from looking like loads of fun to film, this ad gives us everything we could want – topped off with a few Love Actually Easter eggs. Did you spot them all?

Waiting for January – itsu
For something a little bit different, we look to itsu. When you think of Christmas, miso and noodles probably aren’t the first thing that comes to mind. That’s exactly the point of itsu’s ad. Posting the video on TikTok, itsu is honest about its drop in sales over the festive season, and how they can’t wait for January when everyone is back at the gym again.
It’s a little bit silly, but a brutally honest and refreshing twist on the classic Christmas ad.
Why we love it
While most ads are filling your screens with turkey feasts, itsu pokes a bit of fun at the food industry, showing the other side of the coin.

Blue Christmas – Crayola
It’s cute, it’s heartwarming, and there’s a dog – what more could you want from a Christmas ad? Crayola has got us all inspired to make our own decorations this year, and to make sure our furry friends don’t miss out.
Why we love it
Crayola reminds us to think of others this holiday, with a message of kindness and creativity.

A Most Magical Christmas – Selfridges
Selfridges meets Disney – the department store has joined forces this year, combining the magic Disney with their iconic brand. In a beautifully illustrated ad, Tinkerbell lights up London, meeting a few familiar faces along the way, finally sprinkling Selfridges with some sparkle.
Why we love it
It’s a bit of fun for all the family – because what’s better than snuggling up at Christmas with your favourite Disney flick?

Wallace & Gromit x Barbour
Last year saw Wallace and Gromit facing evil gnomes, but this year they’ve gone for something considerably more peaceful! Aardman has teamed up with Barbour to bring us another whacky invention – the Gift o’matic. As one commenter said, ‘you can’t beat a bit of Wallace and Gromit’.
Why we love it
Aardman never fails to make us chuckle. Pair that with another British classic and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a great Christmas ad.

A Year in the Making – Morrisons
Morrisons tells the story of farmers, fisherman, bakers, and supermarkets in their year long build up to Christmas, and how it’s not just about that one special day. They shine a light on the effort that goes on year round, ending with the rewarding Christmas day itself.
Why we love it
It’s a good reminder that the food we eat doesn’t magically appear on our table. It takes hours of hard work and dedication to bring us the festive feast we know and love.

The Unexpected Guest – Sainsbury’s
It's the year of childhood nostalgia and Christmas classics, as once again the BFG helps Sainsbury’s deliver dinner on time. Whether you were a Roald Dahl fan or not, you can’t help but smile as the BFG saves Christmas with his unique words and heartwarming smile.
Why we love it
Not to be biased but I’ve saved the best for last (in my opinion!). As a fan of the book, the BFG brings nothing but smiles and Christmas cheer to this author!
